Lucía Gallego Manzano has a PhD in experimental physics. She is specialised in radiation protection. She has contributed to the development and characterisation of a detector designed to deliver precise doses to patients undergoing proton- and ion-beam cancer therapy. Since 2021, she has been working as a medical physicist at the Institute of Radiation Physics in Lausanne, Switzerland.
