Dr. N. Kalaiselvi: First Woman Director-General of India’s largest research organization, the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and Vice-Minister of Department of Scientific and Industrial Research. She has expertise in the area of Electrochemical Science, particularly in lithium-ion batteries. She is leading the network of 38 R&D laboratories of CSIR/DSIR that have a workforce of 4,500 Scientists.
