Maria Dimou, computer scientist at CERN, contributed to email gateway configuration, X.500 directory protocols, and web support during the web's inception. Involved in the WLCG project for 13 years, Maria chaired the CERN Academic Training Committee, initiated the IT rapid e-learning project, and led the Documentation project, working closely with Sir Tim Berners-Lee. She contributed to the CERN IT Education Strategy and led the creation of the Educational Materials Catalogue.
