Ulrike Diebold is a physics professor at the Vienna University of Technology and Vice President of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. She examines material surfaces with high resolution microscopes to develop advanced materials for sustainable energy conversion/storage. “At the smallest scale, nature is incredibly beautiful.
