María Cabana

Maria Cabana currently 50 years old, is the guard of the mine mouths of the Rich Hill of Potosí (Bolivia) "Sumaj Urqu" in quechua language. Maria began her mining work from a young age with her parents, dabbling into a job where women were not welcome due to beliefs deeply rooted within the mines, where "El Tio", mining deity, lives.
