Htet Htet Oo
Htet Htet Oo is a humanitarian officer for OCHA, the UN Office for Humanitarian Affairs.
She says: “The most rewarding aspect of my job is the people. It is the people whith whom I work that inspire me to do more. Their stories—how a mother from a war-torn area did everything to feed and educate her children; how a young woman who once faced gender inequality is now standing up and speaking out for other women in the same situation; or how a child who lost one of his eyes in a landmine blast kept his hope of becoming an engineer—inspire me, give me strength and hope, and help me to become a better person.”
