Judit Polgár
In early 1993, a few months after the "rematch" of the 1972 Bobby Fischer vs Boris Spassky World Chess Championship final, the 10th world chess champion Spassky played in Budapest against 16-year-old Judit Polgár, who was already a grandmaster, multiple chess Olympiad champion, women's world ranking leader. The 10-game match, which attracted significant international attention, was won by Polgár, 5.5-4.5. Throughout her career, the Hungarian grandmaster, who is the greatest female chess player of all time, defeated eleven world chess champions in classical, rapid, or blitz games, with Spassky being the first in a row.
