Eva Sicking and Erica Brondolin are physicists working at CERN. They are part of a 10-person team, led by Eva, working on the development and characterisation of silicon sensors for a new particle detector to be operated at the LHC from 2029. With its 620 square metres of silicon, the final detector will have the largest silicon sensor surface ever used in a particle detector.
