Charmaine Gauci is Malta’s Superintendent of Public Health with the role to safeguard and enhance the health status of the population. Qualified as a medical doctor and specialized in public health (MSc, PhD, EPIET, fellow of UK Faculty of Public Health) and a professor at the University of Malta. She has led the public health response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
