Elena Cattaneo is Full Professor of Pharmacology at the University of Milan and director of the University’s "Laboratory of Stem Cell Biology and Pharmacology of Neurodegenerative Diseases" within the National Institute of Molecular Genetics. Her lab research focuses primarily on Huntington's disease. In 2013 she was appointed Senator for Life by the President of the Italian Republic Hon. Giorgio Napolitano for her scientific merits.
