Angelina Zaporojan-Pirgari is a women’s rights advocate and founder of the Women’s Law Center in the Republic of Moldova. She developed the first legal service for women survivors of violence. As well, she has advocated for the ratification of the Istanbul Convention and recognition of “femicide” in national law. Since June 2023, she has been a member of GREVIO at the Council of Europe, and in July 2025 was elected First Vice-President.
