Magistrate Ine Van Wymersch is the first Belgian National Drug Commissioner. In 2023, she was tasked with ensuring closer and better cooperation among all public and private partners involved in the fight against drug-related organised crime. She carries out this role without any hierarchical authority. Her strategic coordination role therefore relies entirely on diplomatic skills: active listening, empathy, tactful communication, emotional intelligence, solution-oriented thinking,… : the connecting ability of a top-woman.
