Not a Woman's Job?

Sergeant Mariyam Mohamed has been serving at Maldives Police Service (MPS) for more than 15 years and is currently working as an Automotive Technician Assistant at the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Services (department) of the organization. Her daily work routine involves, inspection and servicing of vehicles utilised by MPS for their uninterrupted operation. She also conducts preventive maintenance of vehicles and assists other mechanics to troubleshoot breakdowns.
