She serves as President of the Costa Rican Red Cross National Council, the Inter-American Regional Committee of the Red Cross (CORI), and member of the International Humanitarian Fact-Finding Commission (IHFFC). She has over 20 years of experience in humanitarian action, risk management, conflict resolution, and international cooperation, leading initiatives in social inclusion, peace culture, and non-violence, working with people in vulnerable situations. Her commitment has earned her the Henry Dunant Award (2020).
