Gloria Ana Chevesich Ruiz is the first woman to serve as President of the Supreme Court of Chile in its 202-year history. A lawyer trained at the University of Chile, she began her judicial career in 1986 and built a distinguished record through the courts of appeal and the Supreme Court. In 2025, her peers elected her to lead the nation’s highest court for the 2026–2027 term.
