Iliana Iotova is the first woman to serve as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Bulgaria. She was a journalist, а member of the Bulgarian National Assembly, а member of the European Parliament.
During her two terms as Vice President, her work was focused on strengthening ties with Bulgarians abroad, promoting cultural diplomacy, and protecting the rights of vulnerable groups in society. She actively supports initiatives for women’s leadership.
