Khampheng Bough
H.E. Mrs. Khampheng Boupha was a trailblazing pioneer in Lao politics. In 1958, she made history as the first woman elected to the National Assembly, fiercely advocating for gender equality. As a Party Central Committee member and President of the Lao Women’s Union, she dedicated her life to advocating for solidarity, mobilizing, empowering, and defending the rights of Lao women nationwide while actively participating in numerous international conferences.
