H.E. Mrs. Pany YATHOTOU is a historic leader in Lao politics. She broke barriers as the first female Governor of the Bank of Laos (1988–1997) and President of the National Assembly (2010–2021). Serving continuously on the Party Central Committee (5th–11th Congress) and the Politburo, she became the first female Vice President of Lao PDR in 2021, making her one of the country's most enduring and prominent female leaders.
