Physical education teacher Smita Manasi Jena works in a local high school in India’s eastern state of Odisha, where the IOC’s Olympic Values Education Programme (OVEP) has been integrated into the school education system. Since 2022, she and her colleagues have been using the Olympism-themed curriculum to introduce more girls to sport and promote mixed-gender activities and games.
