Ele Opeloge
A daughter of Samoa, Ele Opeloge is a weightlifter and an Olympian! Her journey with the Samoa Weightlifting Federation started in 2005. She holds many medals including the first ever Olympic Silver Medal for Samoa in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Ele holds the standing record for female weightlifters in the Pacific, Oceania and the Commonwealth. Ele praises the Lord for her achievements and believes hard work, self-discipline, determination and honesty have helped her, as a Samoan woman, to succeed and make a mark on the International stage of sports.
Ele retired as an athlete in 2015 and is the national coach for the SWF. She is a wife and mother of three, a farmer and an entrepreneur.
