Prof. Simcha Getahune is the inspiration behind, and the founder of the very first Ethiopian Jewish Heritage Center in Israel, serving as its chairperson until recently. Today, she is a senior lecturer and the head of non-formal education at the Kibbutzim College of Education, Technology and the Arts in Tel-Aviv. Her work and leadership focuses on the impact of immigration, promoting multiculturalism, and empowering and protecting at-risk youth.
